About the Teacher

A little about me. I graduated in 1987 with a BS in Education from Missouri State University with a lifetime certification in Early Childhood and have taught Kindergarten for 14 years. My other accomplishments include being a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Membership in the BMI Songwriters guild as an accomplished pianist and songwriter with published works in classrooms in several states. I am an accompanist for schoolwide choirs in our local school, I have been married to my husband Karl for 32 years, and am a mother of two talented sons: Andy, an engineer, inventor, and singer, and Jonathan, a technology administrator and vocalist for my childrens music. Jonathan is now a proud father of Ian Thomas who was born on May 16, 2008. I'm a Nanna!!! I am also an advocate for the humane treatment of all God's creatures. I am owned by 4 cats and two entertaining and loving English Bulldogs. Kindergarten is my favorite group of children to work with because they bring joy to every day! Life is never dull when you teach kindergarten! |
